Since its design and launch in 1985, thousands of Torbar flowmeters have been installed into a wide variety of industries worldwide.

FPD350 Torbar is suitable for gases, liquids and steam. Some of the many typical applications include water, natural gas, flue gas, nitrogen, combustion gases, ventilation air, sea water, cooling water, crude oil, saturated and superheated steam. Meters are available for pipe sizes from 15 mm (½ in.) up to 8 m (26 ft.).

OriMaster is a compact orifice flowmeter that combines a wafer-mounted orifice carrier, integral manifold and transmitter into a single, fully-codable, orifice-based flowmeter.

ABB’s compact DP flow meters reduce the cost of ownership in a number of ways. They reduce purchase costs by having a single-source, direct mount assembly instead of multi-sourcing of the orifice, carrier, manifold, transmitter, impulse pipe & fittings and temperature element. In addition there are Installation cost savings by the fitting of a single assembly instead of the on-site mounting and interconnection of many individual components. Maintenance costs are minimized by reducing the number of potential pressure leak points by up to 70%.

Compact integral orifice flowmeter IOMaster FPD510

IOMaster joins OriMaster, WedgeMaster and PitoMaster to form the new compact DP family. IOMaster is available in sizes DN15, DN25 and DN40 (½, 1 and 1½ in.) and is designed for metering small flowrates of clean liquids or gases in relatively small pipelines. OriMaster is supplied in two versions – one for volumetric flow and one for mass (or corrected volume) flow.

PitotMaster FPD550 joins OriMaster, WedgeMaster and IOMaster to form the new compact DP family.

It utilizes ABB’s new 266 series DP and multivariable transmitters, all of which have optional Through The Glass technology, offering meter configuration without the need to remove the transmitter cover. In addition there is the option of an alloy or stainless steel body. Being an insertion meter, PitoMaster FPD550 offers easy installation into existing pipelines, together with very low overall pressure losses.

Liberty Venturi Meters

The Liberty Venturi Meter (LVM) is a primary flow element that accurately and repeatably measures the flows of liquids or gases in closed, full-pipe conditions. The LVM incorporates an efficient hydraulic shape with static pressure taps in the throat and inlet section. Wyatt offers full body and insert-type flow elements and they can be supplied with either flanged or welded-in connections.

The cast iron series is often used in municipal water and wastewater applications. Known for longevity of service with minimal maintenance, LVM meters are ideal for metering potable water, sludge, slurries, as well as gases and clean fluids. The Model LVM-C is uniquely designed for rate-of-flow control applications, while the LVM-S is designed to prevent clogging of the pressure taps for applications with solids-bearing fluids.

Lo-Loss® PMT Flow Tubes

The Wyatt Lo-Loss® PMT is a differential-producing flow tube that maintains its accuracy over a wide range of flow rates. The hydraulic shape of the PMT incurs a lower permanent pressure loss than any other differential producing flow device. The PMT can be provided with either 125 or 250 PSIG flanges. Wyatt offers both full body and insert-type primary elements.

The cast iron PMT series of Lo-Loss® meters is designed to accurately and reliably measure the flow rates of water, wastewater, sludge, slurries, clean fluids, and gases in full pipe conditions. The PMT series of meters is ideally suited to applications where permanent pressure loss must be kept to a minimum, such as in gravity-fed systems, or where a savings due to lower pumping costs can be realized. The Model PMT-C is designed for rate-of-flow control applications, while the PMT-S incorporates a rugged design for cleaning the pressure taps for solid-bearing fluids.
